Ready  to go somewhere and just get away? Leave the chaos of everyday life and just spend quality time with the Lord alongside friends and sisters at Women’s Retreat 2015: Girls Night Out at Prescott Pines Camp! We’re saying, “Bon Voyage” to the clutter and idols in our lives with the aspiration of being renewed and refreshed in our walk with Christ. Here are some highlights to expect for each week (click on each person’s name to check out their website) :

arlene.circleWeek one’s speaker will be Arlene Pellicane, an inspiring and down-to-earth author. She will be talking about several different topics including: “3 Must Haves of the Season”,  “Humble Pie is Yummy”,  “Step Away from Your Phone”, and “Leave Me Alone, I’m Hiding in the Bathroom”.  Arlene will also be doing a breakout session called “Social Media” that will target one of the biggest issues of today’s age.

Jessa

Jessa Anderson, from Nashville, TN, will be leading worship throughout both weeks of Women’s Retreat! Bringing a laid-back vibe, we are excited to have her join us in fellowship.

Being a professional speaker and life coach are just some of Robyn Coffman’s achievements and she will be using her gifts during week two. With her topic being “I Focus”, she will be guiding us through how to “savor” and “steward” your life.

Local Zumba instructor, Miranda “Tiger” Carreras, will be kicking things into high
gear! Get pumped for a fun and energetic class while learning about Proverbs 31. Tiger will also be doing breakout sessions in both weeks. Get your workout shoes and comfortable clothes! Let’s have fun while getting our sweat on!

You’re guaranteed to have an incredible time amongst friends while interacting with these powerful and inspiring women of God. In between classes and chapel sessions, we will have crafts, games, yummy desserts, campfires, and of course our rec activities like Zip Line and High Ropes. Getting excited?! Just wait until you see the gift baskets! Get together with some friends and put together a themed gift basket. All proceeds from $1 raffle tickets will be put toward a special project at camp (to be announced).

Some reminders:
– Don’t miss out on crafting your own nametag to go along with your group’s personality. Get funky, get fun, get creative!
– Put together a gift basket with your friends to be donated toward a special project around camp.
– Bring comfortable clothes for Zumba with Tiger.
– Dinner will be changed to 5:30 this year. Check out our schedule by clicking here

I would like to inform our readers that this is my last email. I have enjoyed sharing the news for Prescott Pines and capturing moments for our guests and supporters through photos and videos. God has called me to move on from camp life and although it has been a tough realization, I’m ready and looking forward to the path that is unfolding before me. Sam and I just got married on August 8th and he has plans to remain at camp as a part of the Guest Services Team. I cannot put into words how thankful I am to have been able to learn, grow, and find my life-long partner at camp. I would also like to extend gratitude toward the incredible campers that I have met and formed relationships with throughout these two years.  Thank you to the loving and servant-hearted staff that have pushed me in my walk with Christ and have grown alongside me. We are family and I love each of you. Thank you readers for your consistent prayers and support toward this ministry. As I wrap things up, a song from my college comes to mind:
Mmmm I wanna linger,
Mmmm a little longer,
Mmmm a little longer here with you.
Mmm, and as the years go by,
Mmm, we’ll all look back and sigh,
Mmm, this is goodnight but not goodbye.
